HOW TO CHANGE THE ENGINE OIL
ON YOUR WS250

Here are the key steps to follow to change the engine oil on your WS250. Regular oil changes are crucial for maintaining the performance and longevity of your WS250. We recommend doing an engine oil change every 30 hours.

Items you’ll need

  • 0W40 synthetic motor oil
  • New oil filter
  • Torque wrench
  • #4 Allen key
  • 10mm socket
  • 19mm socket
  • 19mm x 130mm tube
  • Used oil container
  • Funnel
  • Small hook

Procedure

  • Make sure the WS250 is resting on a flat surface. Then remove the right quick access panel. On the right side of the engine, you will find the drain plug and the oil filter cover.
  • Place the used oil container directly below the drain plug, remove the drain plug using the 10mm socket and wrench. Draining the engine takes between 30 seconds and 1 minute.
  • When the oil is completely drained, you can remove the oil filter cover and the filter by unscrewing the 2x M5 screws that secure the oil filter housing using a #4 Allen key and use the hooked tool to remove the filter from its housing.
  • Replace the oil filter with a new one, then replace the seal and oil filter cover with the 2x M5 screws. Tighten the screws to 6 Nm using the #4 Allen key.
  • Remove the drain tube, replace the drain plug and torque to 12 Nm using the 10mm socket and torque wrench.
  • Before adding the new oil, you need to remove and clean the oil strainer, which is located on the left side of the vehicle. To do so, unscrew the strainer plug using a 19mm socket. Once the strainer is removed, clean it using a standard brake cleaning solution and an air gun. Once the strainer is clean, reinstall it and screw the plug by torquing it to 15 Nm.
  • Unscrew the oil filler cap and add 0W40 synthetic motor oil until the level indicates 900-1100 ml.
  • Remember to properly dispose of the used oil and filter according to local regulations. Regular oil changes will help keep your WS250 running smoothly and extend its lifespan.
