& SAFETY GEAR

Wearing the right clothing and safety gear is really important when riding the Widescape WS250. Because you ride this vehicle standing up, your body is always engaged to maintain balance, making for a very physical riding experience. Here are a few points to keep in mind when it comes to clothing and safety gear.

Clothing
Layers is the name of the game. You want to be sure to have a few layers that you can take off if you get too hot or put back on if you get cold. As a general guide, we recommend the following setup for clothing.

  • Start with a base layer with a breathable fabric, like merino wool.
  • On really cold days you can add an extra layer of clothing like a fleece sweater.
  • A waterproof winter suit that covers your upper and lower body. We recommend a one-piece winter suit to make sure snow doesn’t get in.
  • A good pair of waterproof gloves.
  • A good pair of merino wool socks.
  • A neck gaiter and/or balaclava.

Safety gear
Safety is of utmost importance to us and we want to be sure you wear the proper safety gear whenever you ride the WS250.

  • DOT approved full face helmet
  • Snowmobile or ski goggles
  • Knee pads
  • High-rise snow boots with a fleece lining, gaiters and rubber soles to make sure they grip well to the riding platform.
